dd-wrt firmware installation

We proceed to the installation of the first of the two downloaded firmwares: the firmware Mini (or Factory).

To install, you need to connect your computer to the LAN port of the router (or Access Point) and ensure the network adapter in your computer is in DHCP mode ("Obtain an IP address automatically").

The installation procedure differs depending on the router model. Here are instructions for TP-Link models.

Open address http://192.168.0.1, click on the "Administration" page and then on "Firmware Upgrade". Use the "Browse..." button to select the OpenWrt firmware file you downloaded and start installation by clicking "Upgrade".

This procedure takes about 3-4 minutes and, when finished, the second firmware (full firmware) can be installed.
Now connect to address http://192.168.50.1 (user name: "root", password: "admin"). Enter your new user name and password at first login: enter "root" as the user name and "password" as the password.

At this point, click on "Administration" and then on "Firmware Update". Select the file of the second firmware file and run the update.
